Pilates

Pilates combines elements of yoga, exercise and gymnastics, with an emphasis on proper breathing. The purpose is to strengthen the weaker muscles of the body, to achieve physical balance and to gain control over the body. The exercises are aimed at the uniform development of the whole body, improving posture and supporting the smoothness of movement. Most exercises are performed on a mat, with fewer repetitions but with maximum focus and concentration on the accuracy of execution. The key to success is the interconnection of muscle and mind, and proper breathing.
